I hesitate to provide the answer quite yet until more people have had the chance to ponder it.
No, it is not stupidity, but that's a good answer (although something really stupid wouldn't be spectacular, no?)

That one thing is consciousness. If an event happens and no one is there to witness it then was it eventful? But put in a conscious person to witness it and what occurs in the brain to process that event is beyond incredible--it's Godly.
