Something is wrong with my computer's ability to play videos. [+ favourites]

My computer, for some reason, will not play most videos that are being hosted on one website from another. Such as, i cant watch videos from youtube or play any kind of game on this website. It wont even have the video. It will just have a clear box with a little piece of paper in the top left corner that has a tiny picture of what looks like shapes on it. I dont know if it is the flash player or what. Any ideas?

What browser are you using?

99% of the time you odn't have flash installed. Go to Adobe.com and install flash player then see.

Get google chrome to see if it works too.

I have been using my laptop lately. So whenever i decide to use my desktop again, ill try google chrome. However, i did try updating my flash player and i already have the highest availible player. Plus, the videos stopped working randomly. Thats why i was caught so off guard.

I switched to firefox like a week ago and like it so I recommend that.
