Will be taking the tour...
But, I guess it is as easy as drilling 'til you hit magma!!!

Quite the surprise... There would still be applications for other energy sources. For example, you can easily move a solar panel, perhaps (if enough energy) fly with a panel...

Geothermal seems more realistically an option now, and I hope to understand more by looking at the site (linked by CrypticTruth)...

I guess this leads us to look more carefully at batteries, especially portability, life span/recyclable, and abundance of raw materials to produce them... Batteries of course being needed for mobile uses of electricity...

black i've actually heard that hydrogen is a better solution for moving objects because you aren't reliant on anything except the hydrogen which can be taken out of the atmosphere or created doing different things to water.

Solar is really ideal for heating water and buildings, better then most things we have developed but if you look into it I think obama has a plan for people for building wind towers and installing solar panels. I'm not sure of what it really is but i think i've seen a couple commercials on it. (so it could just be made up but he has a idea anyway)

I just remembered that there is another way to transmit electricity...
From something I saw on TV, you can simply send electricity via microwaves...
Not sure if that can be done with fast moving objects though...

Yeah, don't live in States, so haven't seen the ads...

Black I know Nicola Tesla proposed theories of wireless power transmission in the late 1800s. He conducted experiments in Colorado.

His objectives were to investigate theses three areas.

1 Demonstration that the Schumann Cavity can be resonated with an open air, vertical dipole antenna;

2 Measurement of power insertion losses;

3 Measurement of power retrieval losses, locally and at a distance.

It was his studies along with others that lead us to modern day Resonance and Wireless Power.

hopefully this helps black

A good website to for learning about wireless power is http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/wireless-power.htm/printable
