Watch the video below at your own discretion. I recommend you not try it unless you are willing to sabotage yourself. This is a very discrete method of repression that is very dangerous. It is also called "tapping".
After trying this I felt the negative feelings go away, but I also felt quite dead and zombie-fied. It is extremely bad and any feeling you apply this to will, in the long run, pull you down. If you are interested in trying it to see the dangerous effectiveness of repression, however, it is your perogative as it is an interesting psychological effect.
Maintaining the bad feeling while forcing the body to react as if everything is normal (physically and mentally) is, in essence, creating a barrier between your negative feeling and your reactions to it. So all you are doing is preventing yourself from reacting to it by forcing your body to behave normally.
I felt inclined to post this as even though it will have little to no effect on whether you decide to use it or not to solve your problems in the short term, it may prevent someone from buying into the absense of the negative feeling being sold as the existence of a good one.
I have chosen to rid myself of guilt, because it's the strongest one I could think of, and I have no clue how that word feels now. What's even more strange, is I can't recall right off hand what it even means....
I wish I could express how amazed I am right now...
- I think I should add that I also have no will to feel guilt. I know it's a weird thing to say and how at first glance that may be a bad thing. But on top of that thinking about all the things I know will make me feel guilty, I no longer wish to do those things anymore. hmmm...
thank you though! I'll look more into this.

This definitely works. Something he doesn't stress in the video is the importance of saying things out loud. Pronounce the words clearly.
My body seemed to resist heavily the first go around - stuttered and got chills - but by the third pretty much all of the negativity I was harboring was gone.
Definitely not a good thing to do on a regular basis, and not to be used on deep seeded emotions. More useful for say, ridding yourself of some hatred toward your boss? heh.
*actually this is kind of scaring me how effective it is. I've been focusing on the feeling I had before doing this and all I get is a fuzzy blurry feeling. It's just like witchcraft to me because I don't yet entirely understand how it works. I recommend some research before trying this.
