I was gonna make this a kind of discussion thread where everybody would talk about what God was to them but when I started writing my own response to it, this all just flowed out naturally with no effort really.
Those eyes that pierce your inner being,
Those eyes that are never hungry,
Those eyes you could never lie to,
Those eyes that listen, really listen,
Those eyes that know everything,
Those eyes of ageless beauty,
Those eyes you could stare forever into and never reach the bottom,
Those eyes that forgive,
Those eyes that understand,
Those eyes that don’t care who you were,
Those eyes that don’t care where you’re going,
Those eyes that don’t care what’s on TV,
Those eyes that reassure you that everything’s okay,
Those eyes that you wish you could see just one more time,
Truth doesn’t hide from those eyes,
Truth smiles and laughs and dances for those eyes
