An Attitude of Gratitude
A man once felt some sorrow
at the loss of a shoe,
then he saw another,
whose legs were less than two.
He still looks kind of funny
with shoes shy of a pair,
but now he sees he's better off
and so he doesn't care.
An attitude of gratitude
is what one ought to say,
has put a smile on his face
the Mona Lisa way.
To cherish every moment,
to make life full of fun,
just sing a little diddle
and bask under the sun.
A cheery disposition,
is something rather rare,
but try it and you'll see,
it's worth it if you dare.

Did you like that poem? If so, try reading more of this author's works. He co-authored the book "College By Twelve" and there you can read how he and his wife raised their first four children to start college by the age of 12. Just go to www.collegebytwelve.com
