Glum

Glum, I fell as drowning,
In a blue, inhuman gale,
As white-eyed ladies whispered,
Of things beyond the pale,
And high, Trouble mounted,
Its shining, silver steed,
To ride the thunder laughing,
Then vanish on the breeze,
As low, fathers muttered,
Of misremembered lands,
Then murdered crying infants,
With bastard, bleeding hands,
And lower, mothers worshipped,
The young they never bore,
And flung their keepsakes dancing,
Into the molten core,
While far off, Liars cackled,
Then fell upon their knees,
As hateful hunters circled,
The silent, judging trees,
And further, Killers promised,
Their victims to avenge,
Then raped their sleeping Widows,
And all their drunken friends,
And all I heard was Laughing,
Ringing blackly from the sky,
As blood poured from the rafters,
Then trickled gently by,
And as the Redness faded,
And all grew dark again,
I wept a tear in hatred,
For Monsters and for Men.
