Like God, UFOS come into the "Great Unknown Mysteries" category. I have no idea if they are real or not. But find the subject interesting. The Chariots of the Gods theory, that we were "planted" here millennia ago by aliens and they have been coming back to check up on their harvest from time to time would explain alot. (especially the anal probes.) But to be honest, I like Wyote, think the majority of UFO sightings and stories of abductions are all just the tales of people with low self esteem who find they can get some kind of popularity and be of interest for one time in their life. Interestingly, with the saturation of video cameras and photographic cell phones, the number of UFO sightings has actually decreased. Hmmmm. There's a thought. Its a pity all the bullshit makes it impossible to sift through and find the genuine cases. If indeed there are any. In relation to UFOS. I remember being interested in dinosaurs as a child and there used to always be the odd news clipping of some kind of prehistoric sea monster that had washed up dead or been caught in drifts nets. But for some weird reason no one really paid it any mind. Here was actual proof of sea monsters, or at least what they really were. And it wasn't of any interest to the world in general. But a Scotsman takes ten seconds of footage of a dark, blurry shape in Loch Ness and its world wide news. I guess this proves that these great mysteries will only hold our attention while they are in fact that. A mystery. And loose all interest once they have been proven or disproven either way.
