Is it just me, or have any of you noticed that in most cases it seems ok in a relationship that a girl can have a guy best friend, but not so much ok for a guy to have a girl best friend? I know for some this isn't true, but I've noticed this a lotttt where I'm from and what I've seen.

Could it be the assumption that girls are less likely to have thoughts of being around another guy and producing a more serious connection towards them?

I'm not sure whether I should be upset or accepting of this.

you should be upset if shes spending more time with him than you because whats the point of going from freind to boyfreind to be closer when shes not gonna be around more?

My boyfreind is my best friend
