super smash brothers leagues all over the world, says it i think. (need links for that to Decius? try google) I don't know were you live, but smash is a great game. Its easy, fun, competative, and addicting, and there are thousands, millions of people that agree with me. All over the world, there are leagues of all sizes that compeete for money, and everything in between.
I will give you luigi's mansion and mario sunshine, but mario kart and zelda.... wow. Thats a strong oppion from someone who's never played them
your the kina person that looks at a video game and if it has more than 5 colors its automatically put into the Kiddie section hugh? the gamecube was made to appeal for "children"
yea its a video game for cryin out loud. if you wana watch porn, or kill someone, watch a movie or do it your self rofl
but keep in mind, just cause i like mario and zelda and metriod doesn't have to do anything about adult games.
i like adult games to, dont get me wrong. but they just seem to get vary old vary fast. Sure shoters are fun the first 1,000,000 times you play em, but after awhile they don't appeal to me as much as an adventrue game. I gues thats just my oppion, but im sure many agree with me...

dude when i was born, you were 10 years old. nes just came out, and playstation wasn't even thought of. By the time playstation came out, i was playing video games as much as my parents would allow. yea i said it, my parents.
if you wana pull that junk of all the other consols that you played before i was born; attari, etc..
trust me. ive played most of em. i didn't miss out on much, and the ones that i did i can make up for.
All that junk about video games for adults, that purely oppion. I personally think that "adults" (what ever your standard or mine) have their own standards of video games, but share the same likeing for games that are just fun, not for graphics, and techanical stuff. It comes down to gameplay, and inovation.
serrisoly, adult games are fun, and so are first perosn shooters but you gota have some just plain fun games here and there to mix it up. Thats what makes a system fun

yes you can't plug in all of your old games, but so what. you only buy them at a fraction of the price, and if you go out and buy the game AND download it, it doesn't even come to the price of 1 ps3 game.

one thing that also suck out from your input is the fact that in your first post, you say that you don't even own a ps1 or a ps2. Then in your second post, you say that you have been playing video games long before i was born. Well, this doesn't make any sence?!? Its great that you played old games, thats all fine and dandy. but the industry is changeing everyday, along with the generations that buy the games. You cant play one generation of games and tell yourself that you are fluent in video game knowledge (wow im nerding myself out here)

Batalion wars, Metriod, resident evil 4, and those other games i listed were allrite then i gues since you didn't mention them, so at least were on the same page there. (THANK GOODNESS)
And finally, im guessing that since you didn't say different, you are still betting on ps3 comming out on top. well, it depends on how vage you are.
Overall, playstation will always win over Nintendo, mainly because sony is a big big company. even if the ps3 fails "market wise", sony will have its out, due to the fact that they make a jazillion different products, many quite sucesful. Whats the downside to this? You end up getting crappy games alone with the couple of gems that seem to always shine above the rest. (Yes i know gamecube has it's handfulls of crappy games, but ps2 makes me sick)
In terms of console to console, i think the wii will win over the ps3, but depending if nintendo can get enough consoles out before the new year will determine if ps3 comes out on top.
The gamecube did approximately half the volume of either the ps2 or xbox. First of all, remember that this is a Wii ps3 thread. I never said anything about xbox, and i will continue to follow the rules by not saying anything too off topic. Im not sure if those numbers are true, and it would be nice if you could follow my lead and give me a reiable sorce to prove this fact. (Just for kicks)
Just because the gamecube didn't do so hot in terms of sales, doesn't mean that wii will follow. Look at the DS, and the N64. now look at the Super nintendo and Gameboy sp/micro. Notice the trend here. (yes i know, the snes did amazing in terms of sales, but just play alone here) Notice that for every one psp sold, 2 ds's have been sold. Notice how that N64 did amazing in sales as well. Whats the trends here? New intovations. N64 = first joystick/anolg thingey, DS = voice, touch, enough said. and when nintendo didn't launch any new features that drastically changed the gameing industry, the system seemed to be a flop. Now look at the wii. I think the controller says it all, along with free online play and retro-remix.
Heres somethin else to think about that isn't on topic, but since your brought up xbox, i gues i get a freebee. consoles that floped dont suck 100%. Look at dreamcast. It sent sega into bankruptcy, but it still kicked ass and took names with powerstone and resident evil and time crisis, and all the sonic games, and many others. Many still play it, and they're hard to come by. To me, the games matter, not the comercial sucess
back on topic again, its gona come down to people paying Seven Hundrad Dollaz for a video game system, or 250 for a video game system. Everything else is oppion and objective to argument.
one last thought, theres no need to swear, or put out all that negativity. after all, we are discussing video games and this is an internet forum.
i aprecate your input, and you bring up good points, and I hope you can enlighten me more, cause im new to this stuff. (the Forum stuff)
