Playstation 3 VS Wii

living: Dude, you're 16. I keep bringing this up because you're trying to pass thoughts like a 30 year old but don't have the background to do it. I mean, you already made false assumptions that you actually believe to be true.

Super Mario 64 was spectacular. Super Mario Kart on the SNES was spectacular (actually most of the Nintendo titles on the SNES were spectacular) Zelda on the SNES was awesome. In fact, the SNES was sort of the last kickass system Nintendo made. That's why it held its ground.

Mario kart since the SNES has been dissapointing because it didn't really present any new ideas that surpassed the first one. Zelda should never have been taken out of the 2D realm. I'm sort of merging the 64 and Gamecube because I didn't really like the 64 either (that was the start of Sony's ass whooping).

There are a bunch of games on PS2 I liked... don't really remember the names because I don't play console too much. But in our house we have an NES, Sega Master, Atari, Neo Geo, Turbo Grafix, Dreamcast, N64, Gamecube, Playstation 2, Genesis, SNES and some other stuff.

SNES is pretty much the best system there. Playstation 2 is probably second.

And again, no matter what, sales talk. Nintendo has been at the bottom of the pile for years now. This is why they are trying something new.

But staying on topic, you listed a bunch of systems that you own and like, and the wii will feture cheap (not 70 bucks a game like ps3) downloadable content for almost all those games/systems you mentoned. Yes Turbo Grafix, and sega platforms are on the list. (I know what turbo Grafix is, yes) This makes me currious.

Why do you favor the ps3, when you seem to disslike modern games? the wii is all about bring back the past with a twist, and all ps3 is, is a box with better graphics. Same game concepts, etc...

All the facts except the sales junk ive typed has been correct. And once again, im not looking for sales statistics when it comes to video games, im lookin for a good time with my buddies.

Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Zelda: Majoro's Mask both kicked ass. Screw you for saying Zelda should have stayed 2D. You didn't name any games you liked on any Sony consoles, which side are you fighting for again?

I'm not fighting for any side. I'm gonna buy the Wii on Sunday. I'm pointing out that Nintendo royally fucked up by catering to kiddies rather than adults. I also think that Sony is going to lose to Xbox because they do not have enough ingenuity and are living off the great success of the first Playstation.

I also said that I do not own a PS2 or a PS. That does not mean anyone else in my family doesn't.

My point about Nintendo is mainly this: They had very sellable and wicked IPOs in Zelda, Mario Cart, and Super Mario brothers and just took it all the wrong way. They are catering to little kids and the anime market without addressing the needs of adults.

This is why the Wii looks like it is a winner... if they can integrate physical movements into their gameplay, they can provide true simulation... this will appeal to everyone.

Oh, alright. I understand your point about the GC then. It seemed before like you were bashing on the few great games that they did have. You are right though, they didn't cater to adults like they should have, they certainly delivered to kids. If they create a balance, they could possibly restore their title as THE gaming system.

and, to nail ps3's coffin shut, the ps3 won't be able to play most ps2 games, due to a faital glitch. So you can kiss ps2 games goodbye and say hello to 70 blue disk games that are almost sure to fail.

Decius.... zelda in 3d is amazing. I dont know about everyone else but i think the 3d zelda games are some of the best ones around. Everyone get's tiried of the same ol 2d stuff. They mixed it up with wonderfull results.
