I tend to agree with both & yet disagree? For an example the statement about smokin pot . . . what does it infer? That potheads don't think or that their ability to think is impaired?So why do they smoke Pot? Because 'life in the city' has lead them to a disillusion with society?Are they unable or unwilling to cope life. Doesn't it amount to the same thing? I have found threw martial arts training that the source of your greatest strength is key to your greatest weakness.
The great strength of this country was it's appeal of the rights of the individual yet to secure those rights others have given up their life . . . yet we look closer at today's nation seems to have lost sight of that principle. I certainly hope that the people will overcome these trials but we tend to want to supply our own desires instead of working together for the common good (of all).
In this area pot is a criminal offense is it any worse than the kids killing others for a video game? or those who beat another person to death over some football rivalry? Why do big business pay out all those big bucks to promote TV commercials . . . because they are effective! Modern society has been brainwashed into a high state consumption (consumerism) with extreme conpitativeness and the resulting conflict tearing the very fabric of society apart as well as destroy the capacity of the world to support life in general. A huge multifaceted problem which we may be able to solve if we put away our competitive nature and our consumptive desires for great material goods. The problem is getting people to do so . . . which is doubtful at best?

Oh, but you said that you're changing the world as much as you can with this site. A site which does not even allow the opposition to be voiced much of the time and as revolucion said, makes you so much more like those people who constantly feed the Americans their mouthfuls of lies (sean hannity).
