I had watched this movie and liked it the first time but thought it had some gay scenes that unfortunately stole from it. Moreover, i thought the biggest problem was that the director SLIGHTLY missed the overall point of the film. Certain music choices, certain edits... I can't quite place my finger on it, but perhaps it was Spacey himself. Although I thought he was good, he may not have been the best casting for the part.

However... Second time I watched the movie, I actually grasped the difficulty of the script... and aside from the movie, I think the actual script and/or storylines is probably one of the best storylines I have ever encountered. I would call it a borderline "genius" script because it carries with it a beautiful and scientific aura about it. The script has so much depth, in fact, that I am convinced if it was realized properly it would be my favourite movie of all time, by far, replacing the Shawshank Redemption.

Keynote awkward lines that stole one whole point from the score: "that bitch" and the infamous "you go girl"

7.5/10
