Yes, of course as some Christians do. They pray to GOD, in the name of Christ that they should receive some boon from GOD. In this then Christ intercedes to their benefit & to GOd's Glory.
Gee, I wonder if that is why Christians pray?

Q. Why do Christians say that they prayed to god and he made it happen? How do they know that it wouldn't of just happened anyway??

Well, what do you think:
Today's headlines our filled with the events at Virginia Tech, the TV News reported that President Bush will attend & pray for those who suffer. So why should he (bush) pray?
Watching I thought so Bush is going to do what? Gee, does he do this for those who died & / or suffer because of his War?
But then a little ticker tape ran along the bottom of the screne announcing that President Bush & Congress expressed their prays for those victums & families of those involved in the shootings. While the president & congress should express greif & adding their prayers is a good thing too?
I guess what I disliked was his 'act of prayer' should be so popularized (publicized) by the media.

Back when I was in college, a friend was killed by someone he had grown close friends . . . this friend's wife had a child with red hair but the husband did not. Because my friend was red headed, people made comments about the child's parents?
When I got a divorce I wanted to kick some a** but I remembered how I felt about my friend's death & the strength of my feelings stopped me from doing something stupid. So I guess I would pray that through their suffering those whom have loss should find the strength to live a more meaningful life by overcoming the negative aspects of these events & finding a positive outlet for that suffering.

But why? Don't you believe that just by praying you arent really gonna change much.

You know, I a feeling (response) that is why I wrote it. What do you do or know that isn't based upon past activities? Science isn't new, not even string theories of today came through knowledge obtained by the study of particle theory. Heard it said that there is nothing new under the sun . . . all things now were preceded by others.

Q: Will tribalists in Africa that never have the chance to find out about Jesus go to hell? Does this mean that some individuals are born, predetermined by fate (hence God) to go to hell?

A. They will be born again, in another life...with their previous tattood on their soul. Given a chance to learn about the idea of a saviour. And the ability to be saved from a repetitious circle. Of live and death. Cause and effect. Relativity. Where every action doesnt have an equal and opposite reaction. A place called heaven. Where balance is all there is...and doesnt have to be compensated with an eye for and eye.A positive for a negative. a right for a left. there will be no compensation for a loss and a gain. It will be eternal...unchangable...bliss. It will be simple and glorious....simply glorious.

-then he is not omnipotent
Is he able, but not willing?
-then he is malevolent
Is he both able, and willing?
-then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing?
-then why call him God?
