Boy/girl bands are still popular in Japan (I wonder why.) What further amazes me is that pop artists in Japan can actually act.
This one was the best-selling single last year. Kamenashi Kazuya and Yamashita Tomohisa in Seishun Amigo- Shuji to Akira. (J-pop guys look prettier than the girls)

Oh, no sarcasm here. I really love Japanese culture. Most Jpop makes me want to just let loose and act like a total doofus. I'll be the first to admit that the music has little or no other redeeming value though.
I love this guy's voice. Though he hardly looks Japanese. This one's Hirai Ken- Pop Star.The MV is kind of ridiculous, but so are many other jpop videos. You should see the stuff the male singers wear to concerts.

Here's a question for ya. Why is pop culture so different in Japan in comparison to the US? They seem to have more diversity and less boundaries (ie a male singer can wear pink and not be thought of as gay.)
