Musical Legends [+ favourites]

Use this Thread to name who you think are the best musicians of the 20th century.

The Rolling Stones come to mind immediatly. I can never get enough of them. They made a powerful impact on rock'n'roll music with their ingenius musicianship and brilliantly original lyrics. In a hundred years I see this band holding the same level of esteem that classical composers of more than a century ago hold today.

Ooh, music thread. Fun.

I mean, there are some bands that were just plain out revolutionary like...The Beatles, Elvis, Queen...things like that. I respect them, but I don't like some of them. (I love Queen though) But I think more revolutionary for me. Like... In my opinion some musical legends are: Modest Mouse. The Dresden Dolls. Minus The Bear. But Modest Mouse is always a top on my list.
