Another side to MLK Jr. and MalcomX [+ favourites]

Towards the end of his life, Martin Luther King Jr. was becoming discouraged with non-violence and looked to less peaceful ways to achieving his goals.

Towards the end of his life, Malcom X turned to more peaceful means to achieving his goals.

Paraphrased from a survery course of African American history taught by a scholar.

Does it sound credible? Or is MLK the paragon of goodness who could never have such thoughts as stated?

Those two statements are too subjective and vague.

Malcolm X didn't believe in violence anymore than Martin Luther King Jr did... he believed in segregation not peaceful integration. MLK Jr believed in peaceful integration.

Perhaps they both realized that black people are black people and white people are white people, all are similar but still different and you cannot approach any problem with an absolute answer.

This is the conclusion any activist will eventually believe in.
