I just recently read the book Skellig, and though it sounds like a ridiculous suggestion...do you ever think that they might have been for an avian use? ...Wings? Just curious. I haven't researched in depth, but so far I haven't found a use for our blades. Voice your thoughts please.

like mabe we de-evolved from angels. or are evlolving into. well the would make my life worth living.

would be good, unfortunately we're a bit biologically challenged on the flieing front, our bones are solid, and therefore weigh too much, so the muscle and wingspan we would need to fly would be ridiculous.

its a shame, it would be really great to be able to fly.

The scapula(s) are there to protect and provide attachment sites for muscles on your body .
