Transformed

I stand before you
Stronger than before
The weakling that had loved you

But now is a deep resentment

You ripped my heart away from me

And with my tears and blood in me
A hidden thing I found
I stood up once again I guess
But this time someone new

And so was my view of you

All you'd done was give me grounds

Not quite who I was before
But knowing where I'd been

Broken Spirits

Peel back the covers don’t you dare hide away
Don’t let them be the ones to bring down your day
They want to make you feel the pain you deserve
Let you realise how much life hurts
Pull off the false front you cower beneath
Strip your soul bare, let everyone see.
Would you be so brave if you stood alone?
If your army began to erode.
Let go of life, before your demons succeed
Turn away don’t let them see that you bleed
Don’t fight a losing battle, don’t kill your pride
Keep it with you till your soul starts to die
