Our accident felt like fate
because it turned you and me,
neither on time nor too late,
into something called we.
Warm were our days
of endless midsummer night,
spent in a place,
humid and glowing with feverish light.
Like lovers and partners-in-crime
we made fertile future plans,
swimming upstream the river of time,
celibrating our new life with a raindance
But all suns cast shadows
behind those that stay in sight,
like the bellybutterflies,
of the sun's warm love and light.
I strayed
and unmade you mine,
because i was trapped in a shade
of another beautiful sunshine.
It all became bitterly evident
when fate felt like an accident,
as you turned we
back into you and me.
