British politics [+ favourites]

i have to admit to not knowing a vast amount about american politics, and caring about them to no greater extent than wishing that blair would get his lil brown nose away from the rear end of george bush.
so i thought id start a topic on british politics. i want to know what people think of the other parties, who you think should win the next election, if u think the conservative party will ever get their act together (personally i hope not, they've already done enough, and a half decent conservative party would rob us of the butt of a lot of political jokes). i also want to know what the americans think of our politics, and if they understand them. the only american idea i have ever heard of british politics is the idea expressed in the film "what a girl wants" and i the most amusing thing about that is how wrong the american idea of our politics was, and (to be very english here) how over the top they did it. english politics is a lot less excitable than american politics. i already said i dont know much about american politics, but i would have done a bit of research into it if i was going to mention it in a film. thats enough from me for now, what do u think?
