This is not a knock against you, this is a valid point and question.

So, then it is your claim that you hear and speak to voices in your head.

Do you know of anything that can differentiate you and your claim from those institutionalized and treated for such claimed occurances?

And can you explain why a religious person should be taken more seriously for making such claims?

Do you believe there to be any possibility of being incorrect in your assertion?

The words that I hear (when I do) are informative statements or questions and not commands. Sometimes I am challenged to do certain things like once while I was looking for a job I had it in mind to try a particular restaurant but then I decided not to and I walked the other way when suddenly a voice says "don't you trust me?" and I kept walking away but the question remained until I turned back around to go to that restaurant and apply for a job.
If I belong in an instituion then God will put me there

If there is no connection to God and a message then it must be dismissed but if through knowledge of God the message can be verified as from God then it should remain valid.
