Flash and Image forums [+ favourites]

Please remember that our flash and image forums are not meant for links to flash or image sites. They are meant to HOST such files so that CC is not dependant on another site for its threads to remain up to date.

All Flash/image posts that are solely links will slowly be deleted one by one. If you wish to keep yours, go to the site and figure out how to rip off the .swf file and upload it to CC.

The way to find it is to view source, and then do a search for any .swf files listed. Some might be ads, but you will find one that is probably the one you want. Create an HTML document on your desktop (a text file with the .htm extension) and in it just put this:

<a href="http://www.yourflashsite.com/flashfile.swf" >a</a>

Then save it, and open it. Right click on the link and click "Save target as" and save it on your desktop. Then upload it using our forum interface. Then you can delete both the HTML doc and the SWF file from your desktop.

Done!

I found another way to do this is to open your temporary internet files (Internet Explorer- goto tools/ Internet options/ on the General tag there should be a settings button under Temporary Internet Files then choose view files) look in this list and you should see the files with the SWF extention. you can save these to your pc and view them by using the internet exporer- ie. rigtclicking on them and choosing open with .... Internet Explorer.

But my question is what about the size of these files- wont that be a problem for you folks at UGN?
