Ok good points Wyote- indeed Mrs. Portman was damned good in the profesional (also one of my favorites). A friend said that indeed Lucas is a lowsy director - he is a guru of special effects and primarily an idea man. I would have to agree with this as well. I have not seen the other afore mentioned films but I'll put them on my list if youre recomending them.
I love these films in many ways but indeed some elements are somewhat rediculous. They come so close to recapturing that magic but just fall short. Perhaps I am being to critical- maybe its like someone said to me today "once you get past the cheesy dialuoge and the strange story you left with a good film"
And indeeed I absolutly hated Jar Jar binks in the first film wow was that annoying.
