Sure it's comforting and it does make you feel important, but it can also be view as an achievement. Like say you baked cookies and it was your first time baking them, and they turned out really good, so you were successful in baking the cookies because you thought it was good, but then someone else might think they're horrible but you don't care because you just happy with the outcome. And then not only are you proud of yourself but you also have this feeling of joy because your happy about the cookies. You can't exactly feel really important when you bake cookies because it's so easy and other people wouldn't think it's much of an accomplishment, but you do and your just happy about it.
"Crap. I lost my watch, now I'm lost in time."
