Peruse the glorious result of a soulless culture infused with greed. The very existance of a human taking such pictures for personal glorification is a good indication of the lengths to which such a soulless culture will go to in order to fill that loss of soul, as perscribed by their superiors, by greed:

Just look at all the people invoved too, and this mirrors images coming from Guantanamo, as well as from Britain, and they talk of uncoordinated, random, no orders involved. During a time of debate of torture legality no less. Sure just random and no orders involved, please.

I don't like to look at the pictures. But we can't pretend it didn't happen. This is a true story - When I was in the Navy, us senior enlisted were always questioned "why would you torture a prisoner?" The correct answer was never. My answer was, "it depends on the situation." The commanding officer did not like my answer and I was told without any question that I was wrong. They would make you sign a page 13 (equal to a civialian contract) promising that you will not torture prisoners, and any order to do such would be illegal. Well - this was before Desert Storm, we wern't at war, and unfortunately, I guess I was right, we will torture prisoners, depending on the situation, but I wished it wasn't so. Why is isn't Mr. Rumsfield going to jail for this? In less than ten years, the world has turned up side down.

Every society has its wackos. Our wackos shove lights up butts, their wackos slice heads off body.

What's more important than the actual events is the lax attitude Washington has towards the Rights of prisoners. All of our prisoners should be recognised as prisoners of war, that is what they are, this sort of half-way attitude is negligent and uncivilized.

Isn't that why we are in Iraq? To civilize them? If that is our justification obviously need to uphold high standards to have any sort of credibility. The people need to believe we are their for them if they are to serve the US-created Iraqi State.

The recent, seemingly free and fair, elections are a great step in proving our good intentions, abandoning this negligent and illegal prisoner policy is another.
