A Lot

i don't mean to be critical, i know my grammar and punctuation is rather poor on the boards. but seriously, what is it with people and typing "alot" all over the place?....IT IS NOT A WORD! A LOT.... TWO WORDS.... it's not hard people.

this isn't just on the boards, i read it everywhere and it bugs the crap out of me.

Post are somewhat of an informal thing- they are far less formal than written corespondence and we would like them to be as instant as talking but of course we cannot type as precicly as hasty to communicate. Proper language goes out the door and we are left with some sort of internet 'gutter-talk' at times.

you are right I R Me, it is very informal and full of slang. still.... "alot" isnt even a word! ....look its an acronym, not a word.
