***Spoilers***

i hate when previews for movies try to say that a movie is "as good as ____" or "more exciting than ____" .... if you pay attention to these types of adds, STOP!

Saw is definately nowhere near the level that Se7en was.

the beginning dialogue between the two main characters in Saw had some great potential. unfortunately it is quickly shot down by very poor acting. the lines arent heartfelt at all, nor are they cleverly written.

if you dont walk out of the movie in the first ten minutes and dont compare it to other horror flicks you might end up enjoying it.

there are a lot of upsides. all of the situations that Saw puts people in are very twisted and sure to get your stomach turning. i am still cringing at the thought of having a reverse bear trap locked on to my face.

---seriously, this part is a big spoiler---
the thing that made this movie for me was the ending. through the whole movie i kept thinking to myself "that dead guy in the middle of the room is soooo gonna just get up" then, after a very very good scene with the two main characters he FINALLY does in fact get up. i felt like bellowing out "holy fucking shit!" ....i think its the coolest plot twist ive seen since The Others.

there are several innaccuracies all throughout the movie which could have easily been changed, but its the overall concept of this movie and the badass twist that do it for me personally...

6.5/10

Throughout the entire movie the entire theatre was cracking up at parts that were definitely not meant to be funny.

If you need a laugh, go see it with a bunch of friends, and you'll be entertained. However, I'm sure audience reaction will differ from theater to theater.

Rating it seriously: 4/10
How much I actually enjoyed BEING there: 8/10
