Also, keep in mind that a "lie" or "false premise" will breach a contract and render it null & void. So, if any Reservist that finds himself extended outside his contract, he may levy a suit to release him from the contract and even for restitution. If he feels his life is in danger and cannot wait for the appointed court date, he could simply refuse an order to extend his stay, sit it out in jail for a while, and then prove his case in court. However, he better make damn sure he read those enlistment papers correctly, understood them well, and know for sure that he has been wronged. I suspect that most of the drivel and griping that we hear in the news about some Reservist being subjected to a “back door draft,” is a bunch of crap. The guy or gal has had second thoughts after the fact and claims being wronged and made to serve beyond the agreed term.
