Pictures sizes

Pictures sizes [+ favourites]

There's a couple pictures I'd like to post in the "Random pictures thread" and "Pictures of yourself". Both of these pictures are too large. Is there any way I can actually make them smaller or compress them or something? I've looked in several photoshop-like programs but just can't find an answer...

You can open the picture in photoshop, go to "save for web"

Doing that drastically reduces the image size. If that doesnt work lower the quality of the pic first, if it still doesnt work resize the image to a smaller size.

Yeah, saving for web fixes an image...

normally to reduce it just open it in a paint program, then save it as a new file and the program re-optimizes it automatically for you.

and if this doesn't work, just resize it. I would go against reducing image quality.

Mind you, CC automatically resizes it to fit in the browser too, just do you know.
