What is this about. The fourth time now this has happened. You would think I would learn to save my post before I loose it to this after spending 20 minutes sharing my heart and soul and loosing it to "Only admins may post in this forum."

I just tested this forum and it worked for me.

Was it is the Gnome forum that you did this?

thats happend to me a couple of times actually... i cant remember which threads i was trying to post on tho, but it was quite odd...

I guess most people leave there computer turned on, but I don't. It is after I make my first post. It will say that you are not signed in and then after you sign in then you get that message about only administrators. Then you can't get that Post back, it's gone. i should remember to save it first. It is frustrating because it has gotten me everytime I've spent 20 minutes pouring my heart and soul out. It's something you just can't duplicate. Maybe there should be a link for you to log in when you first hit the sight with a message to sign in before making any posts. I think that is the problem.

well there is a remember me button, that automatically signs you in.

I have always had that checked. It doesn't happen all the time either. Just sometimes.

I have found that problem now and again too. Only when it happens to me it says something like you have to be a member or something to that effect to post. What I do is if I have been typing for a long time I will copy all that I have typed and try to post it. If it don't go for what ever reason, usually that I was idle to long and not logged in any more, I will log back in and go to the reply page and just paste all that I had typed before in. You don't have to try to remember everything that you have typed and it all gets said!

Maybe that will work for you too.

Every so often computers resest there cookies or delete them to make room on the HD. When that happens you get logged out. That is why you have to log in every now and then.

Which in turn means if you dont see that you are not logged in, you lose your post when you hit enter.
