Good for you - things like that should be in the news more often. I think they tried that once, but people tune out and tune right into the bad stuff, so when the media does try to change they're ratings will drop and they will have change back to appease their sponsors who pay the bills.

Of course they would, if the world was in total chaos, and you could look out your window to see death and destruction, then maybe people would want to watch happy things again
=)
I think people like to watch rare things. (And rare things are tragedies, so just remember that for every tragedy, there is 10 good things happening elsewhere)
Would you watch another happy kiddie cartoon or the world trade center collapsing??

I do kinda miss watching Mr. Green Jeans every morning (before your time). But you're right. We want to watch something we can't see any where else. Pretend to be warriors and what not. But it is not good for us to do this too often. I think from that the computer will save us. But I could watch Lexx for ever because it is so far out there, but I'm here instead, good for me.
