"Consider that to an extent we already do this when we are given a vaccine. the gene (DNA) is innoculated into our being and therefore we will develope that immunity trait" That's not at all what happens. The doctor injects either a weak version of the germ or a some dead bacteria. Either way, the presence of foreign bodies (germs) stimulates the body to 'find' the antidote and mass produce it. The injection is a vaccine if the antidote it stimulates also wards off another, more dangerous, bug. Vaccines have no effect on your genes whatsoever, and therefore, do not pass on to your children.
