Sexyness and Sluttyness [+ favourites]

Sluttyness being defined as the depiction that a male or female is sexually active and sleeps with mutiple partners and has little moral issue with the exploitation of sexual pleasure.

Is sluttyness sexy? From a male perspective? Female perspective? How legitimate is it to consider sluttyness sexy?

From My Male Perspective I don't find it Sluttyness Sexy at all I find it some what Revolting sometimes when a Woman will just sleep with any guy within reach.(is that the kind of sluttyness we talking about?) But yah I rather Sleep with a girl that was hard to sleep with EXCITEMENT IS HARD TO GET!! Bah Zam!

Sluttyness isn't always sexy per se IMO.
However, if someone is slutty, then it usually means she is sexy (an ugly slut??).
It depends on how slutty though, it can be an enticing slutty like "ohoh, she's slept with lots of guys, maybe me next!" or a overslutty "she screws everything you know? so common, I'm not into that".

I'm talking about sluttyness characterized as sexy.

Would you say Britney Spears is sexy? How about Aquilera? A lot of people DO, otherwise they wouldn't be popular.

So, if you consider them sexy, why is it? Is it their personalities? Their values? Their money?

How about the chicks in rap videos. "Hoochies", for example. A lot of people consider them sexy.

Why are they sexy? We know nothing about them except that they are dressed provocatively, and they dance provocatively.

What does that provativity mean to guys? Does that make them look "easy"?

I don't personally find "Hoochies in rap videos" sexy, but I get the point. Cristina Aguilera is very sexy to me, and wasn't sexy until she started acting like a slutty-dirty-bad-girl.

She is sexy because of the way she looks, moves and sings. She is also slutty because of the way she looks, moves and sings. I guess there is a very fine line to me because sexy-slutty go hand in hand to me.

Whores and Prostitutes are different to me though. No respect and no attraction is wasted on them at all.

Most people that just give it up easily are homely due to lack of self esteam. If not then there personality wil ruin there looks.
Sluts are just there for one nighters not relationships.

Regardless, I tried to stay away from idealism as that is not the point of this thread.

Idealistically, yes, relationships and morals should rule.

But sexyness is totally different. It's a primal thing.

So when a guy sees Britney Spears, does he see sexy? If so, why? Is it the sluttyness? Why is sluttyness sexy then?

I'll say that these girls do have looks, but if you ask me, I perfer innocent and nice.

I can't take a girl that would wear the least amount of close they could everyday.

If everyday I can see your bra straps and can see your whole bra through your shirt without looking hard, and when you stand up, I can tell you seleted the pink kinda, then you get my vote for sexy, but not my second ticket for the movie.

To me, that is slutty, and just not a thing I would look for

No I disagree. Someone who's wearing glasses with pigtails and keeps to herself will always be less sexy (to me) then someone who flaunts around in a mini skirt waving her breasts around

Depends on what your definition of slut is. If we're going be the definition posted above, I'd say a woman can be sexy, but not necessarily be a slut.

Take for example Britney Spears. Say for the sake of argument that she doesn't sleep around. But she flaunts her body to the whole world and dances provocatively. If she looks good doing it (and I think she does), then I'd say she was sexy and slut-like, but not a slut.

To me, the range of appeal a person incites from the other (or both) sex determines the range of that person's sexiness.

The question I am posting is why is sluttyness sexy, and is sluttyness sexy.

Britney dancing provocatively may be sexy, but what is the reason behind that? If it was factually proven that she was a virgin and does not sleep around and won't till she gets married, do you think she'd be in as much demand as Aguilera, sho say sleeps around with a new guy every day?

What about Colin Ferrell? He's a publicly known "slut" and is one of the latest rising stars in Hollywood. Is he sexy to women?

Sluttyness was not described as behaving in a sexual manner. The definition of "sluttyness" was clearly explained at the top of the thread to prevent confusion. Replying to the original subject matter would be the obvious thing to do.

I can't agree with the "reminding people of sex" thing making something sexy to people. Condoms remind people of sex. Would people say condoms are sexy? Birth control pills remind you of sex, your bed reminds you of sex, every time you see your dick it reminds you of sex. You don't get horny every time you see your dick or your bed. But, Britney dancing like a whore does remind you of having sex with Britney, which could be a turn on. And theoretically, in a fantastic way if she were someone who slept around a lot, your associating her dancing with having sex with her would be more of a reality than if she were pious.

As a guy, I can personally say that most guys I know (including myself) would primally find Britney less attractive if she went to church every day and was God fearing and didn't sleep around, kiss, or give blow jobs. It makes the "fantasy" of her being sexy less of a reality. I mean, you enjoy watching her in a short skirt because you fantasize about her. The more of an un-reality that fantasy is, the less potent the fantasy gets.

The hard to lay thing doesn't work on girls you don't know personally.

The question is, in a purely "at first glance" and primal way if you were to find out a person sleeps around a lot, and they were attractive, would you feel gravitated towards them or not? Would you be intrigued by them? Would you want to be the object of their desire?

I guess the conclusions I am coming to are that there are two factions of a person's desire in another person:

1. Their compatibility
Compatibility is more of an emotional and mental thing. Logical relationships work with this trait and you feel "attracted" to someone based on how they mentally stimulate your or emotionally fulfill you.

2. Their fuckability
A physical attraction, in every way. How the sex would be, and how it would satisfy your sexual needs.
