Alone, staring at a point far beyond the stars.
The crystal clear emptiness of space calls for us.
Knowing is the worst.
The outcome of this tiny speck in time we so dearly hold on to.
Our confusion between what we know as reality and ....
Eyes closed trying desperately to tap the inner most reaches of my mind.
Wondering why, how we came to be, and what may be in store.
The ages littered with prophets that record
Visions of what the future holds.
Their eyes ablaze with fear,
Their minds tortured with the thoughts of what will be.
None of which are held for us.
Watches tick with every borrowed second.
My mind searching for images of my past.
Sight and Sound fade as I drift.
Images so torn, they cannot be put to words.
