referee/umpire salaries?

What the hell do these guys make ina year? If the players make millions they must make at least $100,00.

that aint to bad for not having any great athletic ability.

any thoughts?

Actually, for the stuff they go through, it is a good pay.

Though I have to say that hockey, soccer, football, and all other field sports refs should def. have to get more then an umpire at a baseball game. I mean, nothing against them, but they don't really move besides hand jestures.

what?........ traveling north america seeing all the sites, getting paid a shitload to piss off a bunch of guys they travel with?

More like, having to memories every rule of a sport, then having to know exactly how and when to use it. And it is a job that is watched over like a hawk by everyone in the world. You make a tiny screw up and you get nit picked by a 3 different sports channels. I mean, it isn't a walk in the park, and remember, they aren't being payed like the players, they aren't making millions.

Yeah, touring all of North America would be cool for the first 3 years. But then you have been everywhere, so what else is there to see. Then it becomes just a repetative thing. I could see after a couple years that I would start to not care.

As long as they aren't making more the a $250,000.00 then it doesn't matter.

Actually it depends on what agency they are with. If they are say a "rookie" referee then they make like 20 dollars a game but I think its more for upper level games. Like say for instance an NBA game.
