Dug: The thread doesn't have to become long if you follow these rules from the begining. The point of a thread isn't to have it long, it is to reach a conclusion Also, you apply these rules as you see fit. The less you do and the more argumentative you are, the less respect you'll get from your peers, and the less worthy your statements become in the long run. Wes: Agreed... But I'd say things like faith and god are one of the few beliefs that cannot be discussed... I mean, faith in almost anything else can be logically discussed. But yeah.. I think we should clarify that if you believe something ONLY through faith, with no premises whatsoever in believing that, then you should not continue to argue, and you should state that from the beggining.
