I am now required to recycle in my area, or I can get fined, but I always have, I was in the Waste Management & Recycling bussiness, which actually makes a very nice penny off of recycled products. Yeah, I agree with u on the litterbug thing, I can't believe I actually threw some of the things I did, out the window.

I recycle cans and newspapers, I don't know why, maybe because there has always been a can like that at my house.
I often don't litter the only time I would litter is if I am in a hurry and as I ran past a grabage can you throw a tiny gum wraper at it and it falls out.

Actually I almost never litter but ealier today i llaunched some bargadge into the wind- it felt liberating! Littering is visible polution but there is so much pollution otherwise in our water air and peace that recycling sems to be a futile effort in the face of this gigantic problem- Urban areas are so ugly I am uncertain that piles of refuse would not brighten the place up.
Eine kleine Tatsache. In germany they recycle everything they use. They have a trash can but they rarely put anything in it. They have a conainer for plastics, metals, woods, papers, and natural wastes (including food). There are very few things germans actually throw away. I would like to see this type of germanic disposal program in the USA. It would make for a cleaner America.
