Angelic - that's a good point, every other place looks better than where we live. I'm just trying to duke it out and appreciate where I am, give myself a break and take flights out if this place becomes intolerable, which is does at times.

Speaking of which, I never introduced myself. Not that it's highly important but let's see..I'm from Boulder, Colorado in the States, lived here all my life so far and will be for the next three years and then hopefully I'm out and working abroad with the Peace Corps. But first thing's first: credentials, eh?

I'm currently studying a joint degree in Molecular Biology and Nursing, so yeah, if anyone's taking that route or interested in striking up a conversation about prions or international health, I'm here.

I also love Sociology, Psychology and Philosophy - so I always have something to say about those, unless I feel like I don't need to say anything.

jokes aside, im just a stones throw away if you ever wanna grab some coffee and get your neurons firing. dont know much about molecular bio, but i love sociology and psychology... and of course philosophy (otherwise i wouldnt be here )

lol..I'm sure what you have to say is more meaningful then what I'd come up with!

That's what's so good about this site. There is such an assortment of people on it from different places, ages, backgrounds etc. that you get a variety of different opinions on one subject. Don't feel like you don't have anything interesting to say. As long as you are being true to yourself (like Wyote said) and having your own opinions on things then they will always be of interest to read.

I just say what's on my mind. Not everyone will agree with me, but I don't come here to be agreed with. I come to put my perspective into a discussion topic.

Anyway, I have rambled on enough. I am also reasonably new here, but I love some of the topics covered, and look forward to posting some of my own. Basically I have been too lazy to do that so far.

Hi everyone. I'm brand new to the site. I was looking for a resource on science and phillosophy and I found this. I would like to participate as much as I can. I would hope that people don't see my age as a detriment in conversing with me. I'm really looking for a good conversation all the time, so I will post often. By they way I am eighteen years old, live in Utah, and I am very interested in science, phillosophy, and politics. I like chess a lot (as my name implies) and I consider Albert Einstein as my greatest role model.
