When faced with adversity, one must make one of two choices: Seek out solutions and healers for the pain, or internalize it to gain callouses to seemingly be stronger the next time. If you seek solutions and healers, you will always be threatened by pain but still remain in control of yourself. If you internalize it, you will no longer feel the pain but you will also no longer have control over who you become as a result. |
