All photos taken: 2/1/010 All of my days are melding into each other and becoming one long, endless blur. I've still been documenting things through the lens, which is the only reason I can now distinguish one day from another. I've been fawning over film scanners that I can't afford, as well as hasselblads and various other film SLR's. I love film, completely prefering it over digital, the main reasons being that film has broader susceptability to light, and I find it the most enjoyable medium of the two, to take from start to finish. I miss the darkroom and the freedom of developing my own negatives & prints. Owning my work completely & absolutley. Digital is okay, but it doesn't at all encompass the whole wonderful science of photography. It doesn't promote the same kind of care, sense of discovery, excitment and challenge, that film does. It's only half the journey, always leaving me feeling unsatisfied and hungry for the full experience. |
