Man wakes up. Wife is not in bed. Man gets up and gets ready. Man showers and dresses up. Man does not say hello to wife until he goes downstairs. Wife is watching television. Wife ignores husband. Wife reminds husband to water plants before he leaves. Man eats cereal while wife watches television. Man leaves house.
Man arrives at work. Man enters office and begins work. Man waits for lunch. Man goes to lunch and meets peers. Peers discuss family life and complain about wives. Single peer brags about conquests and playfully demeans others. Others playfully demean single peer on benefits of partnership.
Men depart. Man goes back to office and continues work.
Man goes home. House is empty. Man goes to room and undresses. Man goes to shower. Man hears door open and close. Man dresses and goes downstairs. Wife stands in kitchen with groceries. Wife is putting groceries away. Wife says hello and man replies hi. Wife informs man of dinner and continues putting groceries away.
Man wakes up. Wife is not in bed. Man gets up and gets ready.
At lunch man sits with peers who discuss married life. Man does not participate. When asked man informs peers he does not have anything to say. Man thinks of wife.
Man enters house. Wife is watching television. Man drops briefcase and walks to wife. Wife ignores man when asked what she is watching. Man steps in front of wife. Man batters wife in face with his hand. Wife falls to the ground.
Wife stands up. Wife punches man in the face. Man stumbles backwards. Man is bleeding. Man punches wife in face. Wife falls to the ground. Wife grabs cup from table and hits man in knee. Man falls to the ground.
Wife: You fucking hit me? You think you can just hit me you dickless piece of shit?
Man: You fucking cold-hearted bitch. I want to smash your face in.
Wife: It's about time you grew some balls you spineless piece of shit. I wonder how long it will last?
Man lunges at wife and begins to choke her. Wife knees man in groin. Man stumbles off her. Woman stands and kicks man repeatedly. Man grabs wife's leg and begins punching her. Wife grabs cup and begins hitting man's fist with it. He ceases to punch her. Wife kicks man again and spits on him. Wife walks away.
Man runs at wife and slams her into wall. Wife hits wall and falls to the ground. Man falls to the ground besides wife. Both breathe heavily.
Man wakes up. Wife is sleeping next to him. Man limps to bathroom.
At lunch with peers man responds to questions about his appearance with lies. Man runs his tongue along his damaged lip and tastes wound.
