My shadow, with me all the time. I am terrified of it - it's a dark reflection of myself, but without the possibility of masking my weakness through beauty, charisma, or smiles. I look at the shadow and it's me, and no matter what I do, it remains hunched, staring back at me, following me through all the years I tried to forget who I was. |
