Love and Ascension |

Your ability to feel pain is directly related to your awareness of any given situation. The more often a painful situation occurs, the less painful it becomes. Your mind and body will spiritually and physically adapt to the conditioning in order to balance you out. And a balanced individual is one that feels nothing at all. But just as universally as a long forgotten moment of levity is able to make you laugh years after its potency dies out, so do moments of remembered pain. The ensuing solitude that proceeds such a moment can be so powerful and unprovoked that you may suddenly, and without reason, stop in mid sentence and stare through the earth in front of you seeing and in fact feeling the desolate helplessness that was once assumed to be forgotten. So intensely saddening that tears may form in your ducts. Those around you who require your attentions will ask you what your matter is, and you will, in a vestigial manner, state that nothing is wrong. And you would not be lying. Nothing is in fact wrong with that moment of clarity. The abuse you suffered was certainly not quenched by your desire, and it re-emerges. You feel the pain but it soothes you as well. In the years that passed between the day of the memory and the day it recalled, you worked and played and abused, and all those memories seem so surreal in comparison to the lucidity of the current moment. If indeed there is a mother in the sky looking down at you, it is these forgotten pains that bring you together. There are forms of happiness that exist in sadness. The spike that pierces your heart as you recall the betrayal that occurred so long ago pains you, but in the knowledge and awareness of that pain is the joy of being a human, of being interconnected with other humans, of feeling the warm link to holiness for being a part of creation. Our evolved state as a species will exist spiritually, and as we evolve to a greater state of existance our physical being will become less meaningful. Experiences in the physical world will matter less and less because we will become better at communicating with ourselves, with each other, with other creatures of the universe and with the creator. Our existances will depend on our emotional interractions and how well we are able to listen to them and learn from them to grow. The importance of these moments of lucidity is then apparent: to quicken our ascension into the form we are eventually meant to assume, the form of God. Any moments spent without complete self-knowledge and inner empathy are wasted, and in our own lives we know they are forgettable because we cannot target memories in such times. Protection of oneself is a primary method of quickening such evolution and touching God. But you will never feel the inner peace required unless you also protect those you interract with, for worse than the abuses one suffers at the hands of others is the guilt one feels when they realize that those they hurt were a part of themselves. To ascend is to know that we are all interconnected. We will all block this awareness to protect ourselves if that realization will elicit unbearable pain. And this situation arises only when you have been hurt by those who should have loved you, or if you hurt those whom you should have loved. The pain of betrayal, which is worse than death, or creating this feeling in someone else. |
