The Lie of Sex |

The biggest lie there is about sexuality is the idea that we are a species that is satisfied by sex without love. But the connection between sex and love seems lost, and brought to the light by very few people who keep it to themselves. The truth is, everything that defines us as humans necessitates that the act of reproduction or sexuality in any form, including recreation, be an act performed with respect, dignity, and love. Even if the act should seem entirely animalistic and brutal, the underlying notions should be ideal and philanthropic. To somehow validate that humans should be humanitarian, loving and respectful of one another, but in the area of sex the woman must be submissive and unsatisfied and the man aggressive and powerful, is ridiculous. If we are to be respectful beings, philanthropic towards other humans in every day life, then there can be no exceptions sexually just because someone is a man or a woman. A woman does not lose her dignity in bed, nor does a man need to be a beast. Every act must be performed with respect. Respect, for every woman is a sister - and to empathize with her brother you will see how she should be treated. And every man is a brother, who protects the sister of his brother, does not defile her. If it is in our nature to be good, and we create new life through the act of sex, then we are creating a new spark of goodness with that act. To suggest that the act of creating goodness can, in any way, carry anything but pure goodness within its motives, is a ridiculous suggestion. This is what differentiates us from animals - we are good, by the internal choice of awareness. We are able to empathize, consciously. Through empathy and the processing of empathy, we have become beings who are born to love. It is our instinct, therefore, to love. To propagate this through the act of creation, of sex, without love, is an act with no purpose, with no thickness, with no content. It is a shallow act. And I am not saying it so that anyone believes me - I am saying it because we all know this feeling, have felt this feeling, and I am describing what that feeling is, and why it is there. |
