Old Smiles, Old Tears

Created by Decius at | [+ favourites]
Sometimes, the echo strikes us
And the absense of that loyalty
Brings about tensions
That deafen the mind.

It becomes suddenly unbelievable
That such a comfortable and beautiful thing
Is now gone,
And it seems,
You don't know why.

Like a man held in the grip of neurotics
Unshaven, slouched, static.
Eating only when it hurts,
Breathing as a chore.

For no reason at all,
The lips begin to quiver,
The world ahead blurs,
And everything falls.

All those angels of hope,
All those beautiful moments,
Everything blue and clean,
It all dissolves.

And it always seems,
You don't know why.

Decisions... so many decisions behind me.
We felt they made sense at a time,
And now all I desire is pity.

No more resolve.
No more strength.
All those attempts
Attempting to be just.

What if.
What if will all end soon.

Pity I never gave anyone a chance to pity me.
But I am pitiable.
Because I am that man.

Another part lost.
Trekking in the badlands.

Wandering aimlessly
Of a deserted idealism.
