Now the one largest problem we face: Censorship |

I have come to the conclusion that the amalgamation of a majority of my revolutionary ideas and frustrations can be declared in the desire to completely and fully abolish censorship. I suppose this was always the case somehow, for I did create this site for the circulation of original ideas that may otherwise be squelched elsewhere. I remember trying to post logical replies in other forums during the war in Iraq and administrators plainly clearly stated that any posts that were meant to criticize the war in Iraq would be deleted. This occured on numerous American websites that I had visited. I am convinced that the US is now on a downward spiral that will end quite devastatingly. This is the fault of Americans as a majority because it is now the American way to be blissfully apathetic. Unfortunately, with the level of leisure and personal freedoms that Americans enjoy, they have a responsibility to the rest of the world because their freedoms in consumerism are and have been dictated by their power as a nation. Americans enjoy the fruits of this power but do nothing to earn it. For years now the American people along with their elected governments have slowly deteriorated what it is that their forefathers worked so hard to achieve. Every government in office has taken a bigger piece of taxpayers money and created an even larger burden on future generations. The current government is of course no exception, save one. This rings in a new era of apathy, for Americans have now, for the first time, willingly and freely given their government the ability to steal as much money as is possible from the entity that is America. The current administration's democratic ascendency is not relevent: They were re-elected and their repeated disshonesties were ignored. Just as we watch with odd smiles on our faces images and videos of a now perished leader of Germany playing with his dog or making a speech filled with the cheers of people, I am filled with a premonating sense of dread when I observe speeches and public appearances of the current administration void of rebellion, anger, and unnacceptance. Still George W. Bush is observed as the President of the United States and is called "Sir" and "Mr. President". Still people await his speeches and clap at the end. Still he is protected by guards that are paid for by the very Americans that the administration has stolen from. The event of 9/11 is not a small event. It is a grand event that is perhaps one of the most relevent events our generation will ever witness. Those of us that woke up and turned on the TV and watched the second plane crash into the second building and watched both buildings go down will be asked about that moment years from now. That was our reichstag fire, but the outcome of this chain of events will not be as forgiving as those that ocurred in Hitler's Germany. There will be no ethnic cleansing for there are no real races, religions or nations anymore. Prejudices based on any particular trait are controllable, predictable and appeasable. Yet when the base hatred is spawned from negligence, there is no cure. Such hatred can never be absorbed or acknowledged. It can only be exacted with awareness. And such awareness must, according to equilibrium, take place in America. This awareness will be painful, costly, and many will perish. The economy will dissolve, and the people will begin to rise for they will have nothing to lose. Celebrity will dissapear, as will the use of technology for the sake of entertainment. America has existed in a state of decadence for such a long period that Americans have lost the desire to survive. The US dollar is lower than it has been in over 15 years. An impending war in Iran will mark the second Muslim nation a self-admitted Christian US administration has invaded. Unstable Muslim military nations such as Pakistan with nuclear capabilities are known instigators of national terrorism in India and have been for many years. Iraq is a cesspool of death and terror, far worse according to citizens than when the dictator was in power. The administration's reign is almost at an end. Over twenty billion dollars has dissapeared from Iraq. An estimated six hundred millions dollars of American taxpayers money has been paid out to various contractors and companies all linked in one way or another to the current administration. The great American heist is almost at its conclusion. By the time the hammer hits, the current administration will no longer be in the light. No longer Americans once America is no more, they will live the rest of their days in peace and pleasure from American taxpayers' money. When the hammer hits, these very taxpayers, their parents, and their children, will all suffer a demolished economy with no jobs, no prospects, and a dying country that will fall into the dregs of the international economy as currencies such as the Euro take the world helm. It is too late now, because the damage has been done. The war in Iran cannot be avoided. The invasion of privacy and legal (but illegal) arrests are now a possibility. An abusive police force, and the silent elimination of opposition is the logical succession. Undetectable terrorism on a massive scale ranging from water contamination to arson, explosives, and dirty bombs are achievable with ease. Films such as 1984 and V for Vendetta are not fiction save the specifics or the dramatics. Like Shakespeare, they paint a stimulating picture over very real human characteristics. The censorship has begun. In 1984 they systematically deleted words from the dictionary so that the masses could not communicate efficiently. Without communication, awareness, memory and rebellion cannot be instigated for such things occur only with knowledge. It is your gift to live in a time when information is available in a few keystrokes. Everything you ever wanted to know about anything is available in front of you. Do not reply to this. Go to your favourite search engine and pause, thinking about something you have been curious about, and find out about it. Eventually your rabbit hole will lead to yourself. Yourself is happiest only when free. And so it is your freedoms you will become concerned about. Read it all as if tomorrow it will no longer be available. |
