Transmigration from The pain |

The Pain The Pain The pain The sorrow delving into my flesh bringing me to my knees Impregnating me with convulsing pain The sadness gouging into my eyes stinging them Ripping my lining dry of moisture The despair, the disbelief drilling into my skull making me scream Harnessing me at the roots of my hair until my hands clutch to the sides Yanking and pulling trying to make sense of it all but there are no thoughts no decipherable feelings nothing except for the overwhelming anguish and pain Trying to deflate me, trying to puncture me at my base My body scorches as something turns into ash Burning black dust begins to cover my shape fallen on the ground Before it all begins to make sense Before my head rises To see the clouds and the blue sky Before I rise from the cinders to claim my new self Away from the sorrow, from the pain, from the grief of disappointments From the sadness of those who are no longer in my life. |
