| When one realises the extent of their being alone in this world, everything around them dies. They die. When one realises the extent of humans flaw when it comes to love and care, it no longer is a human flaw, for humanity would become flawed if it were. So you sit alone, in an empty room, full of non-human gadgets that become your company. The walls and corners become your sterile comfort. Everything goes away. Nothing and no one is alive anymore. You exist yet you don't, in a place with no care, no love, no warmth. You stare at nothing with a blank face, expressionless. Your eyes are glazed over and hollow. Your world is no longer the colour you thought it was. The sky isn't blue. The stars aren't real. Penguins aren't alive; they run on batteries. The love you gave was wasted. The love you thought you felt was not. It was poison. A raped version of love that raped you. That stole from you and tried to fool you into thinking you were wrong. But now you see it. Now you know. And as the cold sweeps over, freezing everything it touches, including you, a part of you wonders, is this how it really is out there? |
