Everything became dark, Not suddenly, but quietly it crept. And as the last rays of sunlight crept away, I looked up and noticed the darkness. Heat slowly melted... I shivered. I looked about, and the world was dark. People were suffering. People were segregated and alone. And they also felt the cold. But amidst all the confusion and darkness, I saw eyes and palms, Looking upwards, searching for the Sun. I looked at them innocently, And tears began to flow. My brethren, my brothers, my sisters They were suffering. But their souls began to open And they began to breathe in life. And here I am. The same as I ever was. Amidst this eclipse. I miss the warmth Of my Sun. And ever time I think about for more than a moment Or see a photograph of My Sun. My eyebrows raise. My eyes widen. And i weep. The forces in my heart, That stand in line with the heart of the universe, That moved the Moon in front of my Sun, Will undoubtedly... Move it back. And the photographs of my Sun Will serve only the purpose, Of reminding me of the feelings i experienced On This Gloriously Painful Day. |
